Amazing, T-Mobile keeps a large number of people from getting tweets, and the world stops moving for many of them.  I won’t comment on apparent need to get a majority of useless “tweets” everyday.  Like the guy that wants to “tweet” while shopping with his wife… Whether T-Mobile is contractually obligated to provide the “unlimited” service is probably something that could be debated.  However, the fact that T-Mobile has decided that SMS messaging is not something they want to provide, in particular to “short code” messaging, it shows that they see a potential loss of revenue.

It’s funny, because a recommendation to anything can mean so many things.  And, just like so many of the techy’s in my industry, they are good at one thing.  Telling you what you need, but not telling you how to get it!  Then treating you like a complete idiot because you couldn’t figure it out.  Fortunately, I am not like most of my peers, I do have the drive to not only recommend, but implement, what I recommend!

I read a recent post called “Why I Won’t Be Recommending Linux to Family this Holiday Season.” The author makes a few good points about the various applications that family members use, but forget to tell you about. Things like the Sims or other games that don’t run well under Wine. Things like music under iTunes. The funny part is, the real reason…he doesn’t want to take the heat for telling them to use Linux and have something go wrong! Wimp!
